At the 2006 annual picnic, OTCC president Marty Hamilton (left) extends the thanks of the board and the membership to several past and present board members for their years of tireless service to the community. The honorees were past president and former board member Kevin Callahan, board member Joan Myers, former board member Paul Davis, and immediate past president Gil Zlock.

Weather Fails to Dampen Spirits at 2006 Annual Picnic

Despite some stormy weather in the morning, a few sprinkles and some thunder in the afternoon, the Taunton Lake 2006 annual picnic was a big success. The event, held on Saturday, July 22, was attended by dozens of Taunton Lake residents and their families.

As usual there were plenty of games for the kids, including a greased watermelon contest, volleyball, crafts, a pinata and a limbo contest. Activities for the adults included horseshoes, plenty of food and live music.

In addition, the board dedicated a monument thanking the Larsen family for their contributions to the community
