Lake Lowering March 13-27
Taunton Lake has received its permits to lower the lake for the annual cleanup. The water level will begin going down on Sunday, March 13 and will be at its lowest for the weekends of March 19-20 and 26-27. The water will start coming up on Sunday, March 27 and should be at its normal level by about April 1.
Remember that fishing is prohibited during this time of high stress on the fish population.
The lake lowering is your only opportunity each year to have access to the lake bottom to remove dead tree limbs, leaves and other submerged debris. Please see the Lakefront and Dock rules.
Beach Cleanup March 19
Volunteers are needed on Saturday, March 20 at 9:00 a.m. to help prepare the bathing beach and surrounding area for another swim season. The rain date will be Sunday, March 20 at the same time. Members of all ages are welcome to help. Please bring rakes, wheel barrows and gloves if possible.
